Plate Hangers

I have two large (probably 15 inches across and 4-5 inches deep) decorative bowls that I am quite fond of. I would like to hang them on the wall, but I'm finding it difficult to find plate hangers that are large and robust enough to do the job. Has anyone any ideas please?

Thanks in advance!

I would be finding a use for them (or a cupboard) which didn't involve hanging them up. Plate hangers almost inevitably either damage the edges of things or introduce stresses into already fired pieces which could make them fragile. Or both.

Besides which, these aren't plates - they're bowls and you're going to have considerable difficulty in displaying them on a wall in a way which enables the designs to be seen. Have you any shelving instead? 4 to 5 inches is very thick indeed.

I bought some from John Lewis that are fabric discs you soak in water to make them sticky, then they dry to the back of the plate and have a ring for hanging the plate invisibly. Soaking again removes them and you can get various sizes depending on what you want to hang. They work really well and don't damage the plate at all.

Another vote for the John Lewis ones. They are amazing.
