Can anyone advise? I bought a lovely old chest of drawers off eBay - untreated pitch pine - it initially ponged a bit of damp, as it had been stored in a workshop - now it has dryer out, that smell has been replaced with a strong smell of stale cigarettes. :(
It's such a nice chest of drawers otherwise, but if I put clothes in it, they end up reeking like I've spent the night in a speakeasy. Is there anything I can do, wise mumsnetters??
Thank you!
