what do you put in each?

we are planning our new house to pass the time and we will have both instead of a tiny shed.

we've decided bikes into garage and that's about it. what do you do?

Bikes, tools, ladder in the garage.

Garden tools in the shed, including lawnmower. Our back garden is completely enclosed and lawnmower extremely heavy so it's a calculated risk leaving it in there.

Erm the garage is for the car in our house.

Bikes go in bike shed and other shed for gardening tools etc

Garden stuff and camping chairs in shed.

DHs huge collection of DIY tools, bits of wood etc. 3 bikes in garage.

OK this seems logical! garden stuff in shed. tools and bikes in garage. camping stuff is prob better in garage for easy access.
what about spare furniture?

no need to worry about not fitting cars in - there is space for both cars as well in there

the drier and more secure one is for bikes, tools, ladders and anything that doesn't like damp. Any storage of petrol, paint etc should also be in a solid building. NB paint must be protected from frost or it will be useless afterwards.

apart from that - up to you!

Haha! Don't get me started on this!!! Our garage is home to six Canadian canoes, three kayaks, two sit on tops, numerous kids bikes, scooters, skateboards, four go karts numerous tents and camping gear and a freezer!! And it's only a normal sized single garage!!! Garden shed has table, chairs, more bikes and lawn mower!

shed normally damper, so no good tools, nails or screws (will go rusty) or cement or plaster or filler (will go lumpy)

garden tools and mowers in shed.

If you put wet cars in the garage, they will become damp anyway.
