Moths.....

Stupid question alert but here goes....
Do all moths eat clothes?
I only ask as holes have started appearing in some merino wool PJ tops, but not the pants.... We were wondering if it was the washing machine or perhaps moths but we had not seen any moths so discounted that idea.
Until tonight. DH has just caught 4 moths in the living room on our return home from a weekend away.
So, could moths be the cause of our holey PJ tops? & if so, what can I do to stop them?
& why would they ignore the pants?
Urgent solution required as DH is fretting about his expensive wool suits but is, of course, doing nothing about it..... Grrrrrr.

I Googled moths recently and it seems they love wool, cotton and suits that are part worn would be best of all [sad face]

I've just googled it too. Yuck!!
I have no idea where they have come from :(
Now we need to empty our wardrobes and drawers to do a proper clean and then wash and dry clean everything. Aaggggghhhh. Work I really didn't need to have to do right now, on top of the darning!
We only just moved house. Damn it.
