It's April and 2 degrees, where have the ants come from?

Today for the first time I noticed an ant on the kitchen floor ( not usually this observant) When I came back this afternoon there were lots of them on the counter.
I've never had ants this early before, even in a warm year. Any ideas whats happening?

We've had them for a month! Not very helpful I know.

I swear I usually see them around August time? Maybe they are bloody freezing too.

The sods have been invading my house since January....

I pulled a muscle in my legs commiting antmagedon last night.

War has been declared but if anyone has any good ideas for weaponry I would be most grateful!!

Nippon liquid, in a container like a tiny toothpaste tube. It really does work. It's so delicious that they carry it back to the nest to share.

Is there petfood on your kitchen floor, or spilt sugary drinks?

Agree little bit of Nippon and they will be gone within a couple of days at most
