How to remove grease / muck from puffa-style jacket?

I have a chocolate brown puffa-style jacket (well, coat really) which has grease all over it. Not engine grease or anything, but marks from where I've been picking up my toddler and where he's been rubbing his face covered in eczema moisturiser on it.

What's the best way to get it off - is there something I can use in addition to normal bio powder?

it hasn't been washed since last winter so may be a lost cause. Blush

I've just discovered the astonishing stain removing properties of Method washing liquid (the fresh air one, blue lid, I think). Got rid of a tomato sauce stain on a white tshirt. Just squirt it on the stain, leave as long as possible (pref overnight), then wash.

Of course, this may be the kiss of death for a down jacket, but if you think it's beyond help and you were going to bin it, you might as well give it a try.

Eczema cream usually washes out! Have you tried washing up liquid on it?
