Off to have my haircut for the first time in 18 months this morning then I have ds on my own for the rest of the day as DH and friend will be playing Warhammer in the attic Hmm.

I can't find a mission for the weekend, is there supposed to be one? I've definitely let my flying go for too long.

Morning :)

Promised DH a lie in yesterday and am now regretting it, given that I was the one out last night.

Quick question - what is the going rate for a teenage babysitter?

I have kind of kept up with the fly daily routines but not the zones so that is my pln now the children are both at school.

weevilswobble - flylady hives you some structure to housework to keep on top of things. look at //www.flylady.net

Morning.
No plans for today so far. Shopping delivery due between 2 and 3.
Might make some cakes with DDs.
Loads of washing to do but looks very grey and rainy outside. Will have to use TD.
Glad its Saturday! This 1st week back at school has been tiring.

up way too early with ds2 and wet bed

teenage babysitter depending on what they think they are worth can be between £5 and £8 an hour! That's in London mind. Certainly for Sat nights they may choose the highest bidder. I like my babysitters to put the children to bed too and "deal" with them.

Thanks Swan. She hasnt babysat before so I'll suggest £5 per hour. She will need to out DDs to bed too.

Why can I not stick to one room? Found myself sorting a tub in the bathroom which has been there over a wk! Full of spare stones from turtle tank. Not put outside and cover so rain doesn't get in.

Then decided playmobil tub could fit in the front room rather than in the way by fridge and freezer so I had to move a pile of DDs stuff to do that! Lol.

Morning all.
what is this cozi calendar?? Is it helpfull or will it just give me something else to play with instead of getting on with the house??

Great to see so many faces! Hope you are all well and having a great weekend.

greyskull I set up my cozi calendar on Thursday after yet another missive from school about appointments for next few months. I had a look and thought I'd give it a go. It looks like it should be good but a few weeks use will tell. One of the best features for me is that it can email you, DH and kids each weekend with the schedule for the week, DH always swears blind I haven't told him about stuff when in fact I've told him until I'm blue in the face. Now he has no excuse and he knows it. You can also provide a weblink for one persons schedule or all peoples schedule, so for example I could give my parents a weblink to DS's activities and appointments. You can also print out bits of calendar and shopping and to do lists and download flylady's lists into your to do list and then edit them to make them work for you - I haven't done this (yet) as I thought it might stress me out.

ev last babysitter we had cost us £40 for 3.5 hours Hmm

done

Bags taken to charity shop
detailed dust in sitting room except for skirting which I will do later when I can find the feather duster
kitchen floor swept

have found patch of mould in sitting room which needs sorting but that is a job for tomorrow. Back to work on Monday and am working ridiculously long hours at the moment so trying to get as much sorted as poss before I go back.

Will try to do some shopping and take ds to park later. At the moment he's harrassing the wargamers so I have blissful peace!

Wolf I am shocked at that babysitting rate! Were you using an Agency?
I pay pretty well by all accounts, but I have never paid more than £35 for a night out, and that's dealing with three attention seeking children at once. Find a teenager, they are great!!!! Preferably one with younger brothers and sisters. And a mum round the corner for emergencies. The parents are often delighted for their teens to be earning something and will back them up, so to speak.

Cycled to shop with DDs to get dog food and couple other bits that aren't on shopping delivery.

Just having a 5 min sit down before getting back to the kitchen.
Have already scrubbed one part of the floor.

Howdy ALL and a big wave to EV

I'm being very mega lazy today, well DH is off to watch football with BIL and DS is going to ML's. Plus after school I took DS the 60 miles to Manchester to catch up with a friend and Ds's namesake who was over from New York. Home before 9 but cripes am I paying for it now! I think I should let the world happen round me today (justifying laziness). Glad I did it tho and the railcard has paid for 33% of its self.

So my DONE list is

Blank

and TO DO is

Nada (will check DS's homework diary for tomorrow)

Hi everyone, Am wondering as we are quite small and select now if we should have one thread per week rather than one per day? It will make it easier to find, and catch up on things if you miss a couple of days.

It's seriously nice to see you all. :)
