Do you have special jars for your tea and coffee?

Am I a total pig for not having any?

Is it purely aesthetic? Or do they make your tea taste better?

We use tea leaves rather than bags, so do have a tea caddy (just a nice stainless steel storage jar) otherwise getting tea leaves out of the box would be a bit of a hassle. No real coffee jar though. The instant stays in its original jar, the coffee beans stay in packet in cupboard secured with a Klippit. The ground coffee (from beans) gets put in a glass jar in the fridge.

That's as far as it goes........

Yep... I thought everyone did until I went to my SIL's house and couldn't find any on the worktop. She leaves hers in the appropriate jars or packets in a cupboard, even the sugar which meant every time you used it it went everywhere as you opened the packet. I even have a special one for ground coffee in the fridge.

I used to for tea as the boxes they come in didn't fit on the shelf properly. Now we don't bother.

oh god yes!

tea bags are moved from box to jar without fitted lid as they need to breathe, instant coffee is kept in jar, coffee grounds are in airtight kilner jar

Really Auntiemonica. I didn't know that and have a jar with a tight top. Won't they loose their strength, flavor or something being left open.

We have about a squilllion sorts of tea which are put in a variety of tins on the tea shelf with the packet label taped to the lid so it's easy to tell what they are. We only have fresh coffee so that just goes in the fridge in an illy tin.

We have loads of different types of teas in Williamson tea caddies (they come in lots of different colours). I label the lids with Dymo labels so I know which sort of tea is which.
