Best cure for scratched worktop?

My friend asked me if I knew how to repair scratches - well, cuts from tenants slicing vegetables etc - on the dark grey marble coloured Wickes melamine covered worktop in her flat?

I don't, and as the scratches can only be seen at a certain angle, I'm not sure why she's worried, but I said I'd ask...thanks!

You can do it with superglue but you need a single hair brush to get the glue in finely enough. Better bet would be to just buy big glass chopping boards to cover the surfaces to stop it getting worse.
