Help! Our pram is mouldy, how should I clean it?

We have just started getting DDs baby stuff ready for imminent DC but the fabric of the pram we put in the garage is all mouldy. Urgh. How should I clean it? Normally I would just scrub something with bleach but I obviously don't want to bleach the fabric of the pram. And most of it can't be removed to handwash/soak. Any ideas please?

I unscrewed my beat buggy fabric from frame and used fairy liquid solution and scrubbed it on a table outside.

Hosed it down and dried it in sun.

You need to make sure it is really dry and if possible leave it open in sunshine for a few days.

Thanks sleepevader. It is everywhere! Even on the harness/strap thingys. I would have put it in the loft if I had known. Did that get rid of it completely?

It did get rid of it- harness too.

Just bumped another thread in good housekeeping topic for you that was a similar question.

Thanks. I'm glad I got it out now (four weeks to go) rather than on the day I want to use it!

Can you unscrew material and put in machine too?

Some of it comes off, but not all and I don't know whether that would ruin the padding inside?

What pram is it and what fabric? I have a kill or cue method if its something you want to risk?

If you have a pressure washer, scrub the material with a mixture of laundry detergent and water. Then pressure wash it everywhere. You have to get close enough with the jet to blast the mould spores out but not to close or you'll warp the fabric. This genuinely works and the mould doesn't return.

If the hood comes off put it in the washing machine with an old towel.
