house smells

My daugher has a small one bedroom flat which she rents out. She bought it 3 years ago, totally reburbished it and then within the year was moved city with work. For the past 18 months it has been rented out by a lovely Indian couple who have taken very good care of it. However they are now moving on and we need to let the flat again.
The smell of curry/Indian cooking is overpowering and her new white kitchen units are now yellow ( l think due to spices uses). Does anyone have any ideas on what we can do to get rid of the smell and get our white doors restored to their former glory.

I would try Astonish paste (its non abrasive) on the cupboards, and if you have a steamer try that on any greasy areas.

You might have to shampoo the carpets and curtains as they would hold any aroma,

Oust, Febreze, open the windows and let it air.

I don't know if you can put any clause in about cooking, not like requesting non-smoking tenants.
Otherwise mine would be- no smoking, no garlic, no kippers, no lavender!

You could try bicarbonate of soda to get the stains off, sometimes i just add some white vinegar. It is great for getting the grime off the top of the fridge .

check the kitchen ceiling too - that can have oil on it too

Rub half a lemon over the cupboards........................keep getting a new lemon when the juice runs out.
