I live in a Victorian mid-terrace and would love to take the manky old carpet up in our bedroom. It is the original floorboards underneath, but they haven't (as far as I can see) been ever touched or renovated.
Does anybody have any idea how much it would cost to get a professional in to strip/sand/seal the floors? I know it is easily done yourself, but I have breathing problems which would really not bs aides by all the dust, plus I'd like a really good quality finish (without too many dirt and dust cracks) az I'm still trying to talk DH round to wooden floors!
The room is pretty small - about 0.75m clearance either side of a king bed, and about 1.5m at the bottom.
Any experiences or guidance welcome!
