Off to get a new bath in the sales today. Thinking of going for a steel bath but there seems to be a much bigger choice of acrylic ones, anyone know which is best?

Stella baths will mean the water gets colder quicker. We had one in our last house and you couldn't enjoy a nice long soak.

I found the steel enamel bath holds heat better than acrylic.

Also easier to clean, no fear of scratching it.Cheap acrylic baths are bendy! so if you have a shower over the bath you need to consider if anyone very heavy is likly to stand in it. Also harder to keep a seal around it.

Plus I am a bit anti-plastic anything.

If you live in a hard water area be aware that you can't use limescale removers much on enamel because they can damage the surface, so you have to be vigilant and make sure it doesn't build up.
