how do i get rid of the smell of vomit in the carpet?

dd was grossly sick on thursday night,
i cleaned it immediatley.
yssterday i did it with disinfectant but the smell sitll pervails.

Just keep scrubbing with carpet cleaner. It can take weeks but will eventually go. The stain is a lot harder to remove we had to end up getting rugs to cover it.

Try sprinkling it with bicarb, leaving it for a bit and then hoovering. It worked with cat pee smells for me.

We had this problem in our DS's room once, my advice is to mix some bicarb with water to make a consistency similar to tile grout, rub this onto carpet where the vomit was, leave to completely dry out (may take a day or two but be patient it does work) then hoover out, you will need to get on your knees and hoover hard with the nozzle part and it does take a while but hey presto no more stinky carpet. x
