Hi I have sorted maths and feel this website, "Conquer Maths" will be good. Can anyone recommend best value for money, and quality to find other websites for all other subjects English, Science, e.t.c.

Not sure if this will interest home educators but when I taught in primary I found Primary Resources to be a great website. I still download stuff to use with my daughter. It covers all primary subjects and is free.

Sorry, just noticed you were looking for yr9 Blush. Can't help you with most subjects but there are some brilliant YouTube clips for science experiments (and maths tips too).

I feel like a salesperson for this site as it is the third time I have recommended it this evening. IXL It is £7.99 a month for one subject, £12.99 for both.

It gives certificates for getting 100 points, which is only done by having 'secure knowledge' as the schools would put it.
It follows the curriculum for both subjects, and as a parent, you can log in and have a go too, but your score will not be saved ir rewarded with a certificate! Sad

We use the following websites for various different topics:

Khan Academy www.khanacademy.org/welcome
Great for all sorts of subjects and has videos that explain subjects really well.

Doodle Maths www.doodlemaths.com/
We paid for this when my daughter was younger - aged 7-8. It was really good and she loved having the little virtual pet that comes with the app as an incentive.

Mathletics uk.mathletics.com/
Had this from age 8 -10 and was really good. We liked the live maths challenges where you can compete with friends and other kids around the world.

Quizzy Kid quizzykid.com
Fairly new to our list - they have some fun quizzes on here about various topics. She likes to use these as a way of making her learning more interactive. I think you can also print out the worksheets but we haven't done that.

BBC Bitesize Bitesize - BBC Bitesize - Home
Covers ALL sorts of different topics. Favourites so far have been the typing games and also videos about topical issues: bullying, growing up, people with disabilities etc.

We use Twinkl.com for worksheets, powerpoints etc. We pay for the Classic subscription but you will find that some of Secondary resources are extra. But it is still affordable. I use it a lot.

BBC Bitesize is brilliant for learning and tests.

TeachIt English is free to sign up for their basic resources. It covers KS3 & 4 English.

Spark Notes online is a good source for additional notes and help with studying English literature set texts.
