Home ed

Home school tutoring

Hi all,
I'm a primary school teacher interested in whether home ed parents use tutors regularly. I am thinking of leaving my job as I would like to reduce stress and spend more time with my children. I adore teaching but I am starting to resent the school system. I feel like home ed could be the perfect job for me to get back my love of teaching. Is it something people want/use? I'm east Kent.
Thanks
Natalie

I don't know many (can probably count on my fingers those I have ever met) people who use tutors at Primary level. I have been doing this 10 years in an area with a lot of home educators.
Where people I know use tutors it tends to be specialist subjects like MEL, art, music, group sports or for oCCASional level.
There are a lot of teachers/ex teachers who home ed who do a bit of tutoring/run groups voluntarily. So quite a competitive market.
Kent does have one of the biggest concentrations of HE in the country though.
