Bedroom curtains dilemma

So, definitely a first-world problem... DH and I have moved to a new rental house, but bedroom curtains is causing me issues! Walls are magnolia, carpet is a kind of dark bluey grey, built in cupboard is painted white, and my old chest of drawers is walnut... I buy duvet covers based on what I like at the time, so have a beige one with brown flowers, a mid-grey one with colourful scandi flowers, and a pale blue one with white boats on... Need to buy some curtains but can I figure out what colour to buy, and whether to get patterned or plain!!! I'm stuck! Does anyone else have this issue, or any advice please???

Def plain ones in a good heavy fabric
I made a few curtain mistakes trying patterns and I end up selling them as I get fed up with the pattern.

Maybe something with a textured fabric rather than an actual pattern?
