Yay or nay?
It’s a largeish country house with a good sized hall. Pics of what I’m thinking attached

Not those specific designs, would be more subtle eau de nil background with birds and cherry blossom

Do it - I think it's beautiful. I love the second one particularly and wish I had a hall (or any room!) big enough.

Fromental have some beautiful options, I love it but it’s probably £££!

Ooh do it. I would kill to have a house big enough to do something similar. It's beautiful.
I've been to a wedding in Rye where the venue had chinoiserie wallpaper in the panels and it was stunning:

👍🏼
Im excited 😀
My theory is that you only spend a few seconds at a time in a hallway so I can go a bit bonkers

Decided to do it myself, still not finished but am v much enjoying it, and it's a nice distraction from Armageddon 😃

That’s very good!

I did a cherry blossom tree once. Was very relaxing.

Thanks all! I've really enjoyed painting it, just a few more panels and some more birds and I'm done. Love painting the birdies ☺️

Painting?

Is some of this wallpaper or have you painted it all? What?

Shock

It is beautiful.

It’s beautiful OP. Do you know, I’m such a thicko at times? I’ve only recently realised that Chinoiserie refers to China? It’s only taken me 67 years. 🤦🏼‍♀️

You painted it yourself? You are so talented. You could make a business of that skill.

Wow yes it looks amazing! I'd love chinoiserie but don't have your talent. Did you paint freehand? Did you copy from anywhere?

Thanks so much! Actually I have 0 artistic skills, I can barely manage a stick man. I’ve used stencils, and learned to shade as I went along. Few more pics. I’m surprised how nice it is myself 😁
