Opinions please!!

I prefer eyelet but my husband not convinced (probably as this type means we can reuse the track/pole 🙄)

It's for bay window

I prefer pencil pleat as think it looks classier

Neither! cartridge pleat everytime. Lovely even pleats and no bunching.

@rosegoldwatcher unfortunately wouldn't work - it's a curtain track not pole FML 😱

Eyelet will only work on a (shortish) straight pole.
You can have multiple short poles or pencil pleat.
I can give advice with more details.

There is a comparatively new curtain header tape called Wave. It is suitable for track or pole. It produces even gathering similar to eyelet, without the (ugly IMO) rings. I've bought some to use with fabric for my dining room curtains but haven't started them yet! www.jones-interiors.com/wave-hello-new-favorite-heading/

Sorry to disagree with a fellow curtain maker but "wave" works best on a straight track. It would involve a custom bent silentgliss track costing hundreds of ponds in a bay.

@7to25 - oh, didn't know that! (Glad I don't have a bay window!)
