Another Hall/landing colour questions.

Hi, was wondering if anyone had some suggestions, my hall is currently painted on the bottom half (have original pine dado rails) a very dark grey the top half is white with a slight hint of blue, which you can see upstairs as it quite light, downstairs it looks white, as much darker.
I want to lighten the bottom half & leave the top half as it is, as it’s fine & not been done that long.
Can anyone suggest some colours, have driven myself mad with various testers ie oval room blue to dark, dix blue to blue, toying with a Craig & rose either Wilkie grey or treasure house, but they look a bit mauve.
Also would like it to flow more, with the other rooms I’m redoing the front room in mizzle & the kitchen will be a paleish blue.
Apologies for long post, any ideas would be welcome thanks.

I'd go for a smoky bluish grey. That grey is a bit functional. Maybe something like this one Winter Lake

Thanks One yes definitely a bit functional, I disliked it as soon has I had painted it, Dh calls it battleship grey which didn’t help.

Any thoughts on maybe still having a fairly dark colour on the bottom sort of Hague blue type of colour, or should I go for a very pale shade?

We had those tiles - pigeon by farrow and ball works really well, as does oval room blue.... personally though I think your hall looks fab as it is!

Hi. I think you should consider the Proud Peacock from Dulux. This is a greenish blue colour. I would show you a picture but I have no idea how to attach pics on this site. Check it out on the Dulux website. it would go well with the natural wood you have. Also, I got a beautiful handmade narrow console table from Raintones.
