Having a nightmare with kitchen paint choice...was going to use Dulux polished pebble but have just done in some bedrooms and it’s getting a lilac tinge which I can live with upstairs but don’t want in my kitchen. Goose down looks too dark. Thinking of changing to just walnut (which will have in hallway) but don’t know if it will work with dark grey kitchen/diner...cabinets are graphite, worktop white, floor a warm beige/grey porcelain. Will have one proud peacock wall in diner and splashback will be that colour too...JW goes lovely with this colour but not sure about the rest. Any other ideas? Have taken a few pics with a painted card....(skirting will be white)...what do you think?

I have the same colour kitchen as you and I’ve used polished pebble- the lilac tones haven’t come out in the kitchen. I have polished pebble in the bedroom and it does look lilac in there- I think it depends on the tone of the room.

However I’d say that it is almost too pale and it kind of gets lost. Sometimes it looks like the paint is white until you see the contrast with the ceiling. I wish I’d gone darker or bright white.

I'm cinfused is the wall painted or is that sheet of paper the colour?

Different light situations completely change paint so always use a few coats of tester pots

Sorry, can't see any colour to comment on on any of the sheets so don't think you will have a decorating crisis whichever you choose.

Sorry- the colour on all the pics is Dulux just walnut painted onto a bit of paper...it’s very neutral (looks a bit greyer in my hallway which is darker...). Do you think it looks ok? I could be way bolder and put proud peacock on more walls....

I can’t tell the colour either, just looks like a dirty white sheet of paper at the mo, which tells me you need to go bolder, maybe greyer to match the flooring.

You can see it a bit better here against the proud peacock, and it’s a lovely colour ..but it’s coming out rubbish in pictures. But anyone who knows Dulux Just Walnut might have an opinion on whether it goes with dark grey cabinets?
