Coffee coloured emulsion

We currently have a lovely(!) orange painted downstairs loo - not our choice. It's north facing and has a high ceiling and I think a milky coffee coloured paint would look much better whilst still having warmth. Can anyone recommend a suitable paint shade - it needs to have yellow tones or it'll be too bland and cold feeling. We have Dulux Caramel Latte in another room and that's too pale and not yellowy enough for this.

I've recently used Gentle Lamb from valspar, might be a bit pale for your needs but have a look at their yellow based neutrals m.valsparpaint.com/color-group.php?g=70015

Dulux match if you don't want to pay for the real thing - it's excellent.

We had a bad experience with Dulux colour matching and ended up with two tins of paint that were different colours when they should have been identical. If I were doing that again I'd go to a trade decorating centre rather than Homebase.

I'll need to get testers as things always look different actually on the walls.

Anymore for anymore? I've discussed with DP this morning, including my thoughts on colour and he's all for it, including me painting some quite badly home wood-grained cupboard doors which make it feel quite dark in there. He did suggest painting it yellow, but that's his standard joke answer every time we talk about what colour to paint anything.

I've used Dulux Soft Truffle which fits your description

Just found out the place near us that did Dulux trade mixing has closed down too! But we're not far from civilisation, so I can find somewhere else if necessary.

We had London Stone in the hall in our last house and it doesn't have the richness or yellow tone I'm after. I think we had Soft Truffle there before that - we changed the carpet and I redecorated.

I'll take a look - thank you. It's quite dark so I'll probably find everything I like doesn't work in there! Got to be better than orange though.

I dug out the testers we already have yesterday and picked 3 that looked most suitable. Two were too dark and the third looks very similar to the Colours Soft Coffee but is some random brand I picked up in Homebase about 18 months ago. So at least I know I need something similar.

Me again. So it turns out what I really wanted was a yellowy cream/neutral colour. All the browns are just too dark and dull looking and it's already north facing and naturally quite dark.

I've added to my tester pot collection - including buying one I already had 🙄 - and think B&Q Colours Cafe au Lait is the one. Or possibly Natural Hessian, but that's a bit flat looking I think.
