Bed help (that sounds funny)

hi all
Before Warren Evans went bust, I was about to order a bed....!

the prices I saw might well have been unrealistic, but what I was looking at was a sort of space saving bed design, you know where the bed frame has a minimal imprint so to speak, taking up no more space than the mattress, no bits of frame sticking out.

Does anyone know who else sells this sort of frame (hopefully not for extortionate prices)? I also need the old bed to be taken away.

Thanks for any ideas.

Habitat do one called Tatsuma, it’s very similar to the Warren Evans style.
A pity about WA we’ve one of their bedframes that’s 15 years old, has been moved 3 times and is still going strong. I liked the way they personally constructed the bed when first delivered.

thanks JT that looks good

Yes, it is a great shame, they were a good company all round I thought...wonder what went wrong.

My WE bed and mattress was delivered the day they announced it was going into administration. Real shame - they have so many happy customers.

Have you looked at Muji beds?

Are you set on a wooden frame? You could just get a divan bed base and a wall mounted headboard as an attractive space saving option.

I didnt know Muji did beds, thanks!

I have to have a wooden bed with space underneath to store things (drawers won't do, everything's hidden away under the bed, live in a very small space). Couple of tables are undone and stored under there for example.

the Muji beds are very minimalist & have under bed storage if you want - you add the bits you need. They are mid-priced I would say - not cheap. But you can expect excellent quality from them.
