In my experience, carpet in children's bedrooms never wears out, it gets destroyed, spillages/playdough ground in/paint stains/vomit/poo/potty training accident stains etc. So durability isn't really important, because it won't stay clean long enough to live up to it's durability.

I've now resorted to going for cheap and cheerful felt backed carpet, and I just consider it as a fairly disposable feature that gets changed every time I redecorate.

My kids have laminate and rugs. One bonus is that DS's asthma has disappeared.

Mine are 8 and 5.
No food or drink (other than water) ever allowed in bedrooms. Ever. And absolutely no painting or drawing.

I would like a good one because I would like it to last.

Any brand recs?

I bought an 80:20 wool carpet. 11 years I n and still looking good. No paint/playdough in there, he’s never vomited on it, he used a potty in the bathroom not the bedroom. Afraid I can’t remembered the brand, but all I asked for was 80:20, then chose the colour.
