Looking for a nice kettle and toaster set - brand new kitchen with ivory coloured units, oak worktop and grey karndean flooring. Something to compliment the area but also be easy to clean.

Modern or traditional? What colour?

Something neutral as to go with the ivory units oak worktop I think. Happy to buy either traditional or Modern? Both should look ok I think

How much are you looking to spend? I have the Smeg toaster and kettle set and they are lovely, but pricey. I think Morphy Richards do a nice cream set for much less and still nice.

Think £260 for both is a bit steep. Happy to spend about £150 on both

Last time I got Morphy Richards the colour just wiped off over a couple of months...terrible quality. Now I have Russell Hobbs and it's so much nicer. The kettle is rapid boil, and I know this sounds mad, but it pours really nicely. It's hard to spill water from the kettle, so stops all the splashes.

Nice kettle and toaster

That looks lovely - I was just looking at Morphy Richards and readin reviews they don’t seem good.

I have a Russel Hobbs kettle at the moment in stainless steel though and always just looks grubby with marks. Really want something that looks nice with minimal effort.

Does it have to be a set? Have you considered a stove top kettle. It’ll last for ever!

We have a Kitchen Aid kettle and a Dualit toaster. The kettle doesn’t show any marks as it’s got the cream coating and the other parts are brushed steel.

Mine don't show any marks...just a quick wipe with a magic sponge or microfibre cloth and they're like new. They're also on special at the moment in Debenhams...£35.00 each Smile

We have a Delonghi Icona Micalite, good quality at a good price and they look fab. I think they have a cream...
