Bathroom tiles .... help!

Right wise mumsnetters....

I'm getting a new bathroom where my utility room used to be, so it's quite hard to visualise.

There is a bath, a sink and a loo. The bath is to be tiled in.

And I need to choose tiles for the lot.... walls, bath and floor.

Wall tiles will be ceiling height round the bath but just to half level round the rest.

I'm pretty set on a colour scheme of white and grey (I know some shall try to persuade me otherwise!

My house is about 120 years old so while the bath etc is quite modern, i would like to add a traditional twist with the tiles.

The other sticking point is the ceiling height its low, super low so I need to be mindful of making it look smaller.

Any suggestions? I've attached a pic of the plan

The only tiles I like are normally stupidly expensive Fired Earth ones!! I think painted & tiles work well in older homes too. Probably not the look you are after but...This was my daughters ensuite in our previous Georgian house. Made to measure mirrors over bath & basin, simple white tiles over surrounding mirror but then painted above (originally pink but later Wimborne white once she was older). It does have a high ceiling being Georgian and a large sash window so lots of light but it's a similar layout to yours. For vintage inspiration Fired Earth is worth a look.
