I have a 1990s lean-to conservatory that I am trying to bring up to date. It started life with smelly Flotex carpet and various pieces of tired and mismatched wicker furniture that made it look like a charity shop. After some splendid suggestions from MN people I have laid some Karndean lino that looks incredibly like wood, and I am also now the proud owner of a set of colonial-style conservatory furniture that I got odd Ebay for £100 - a wicker sofa, coffee table, and two matching rocking chairs. These have been complemented by some yellow cotton throws from Poundland for £1 each that work surprisingly well. Flushed with success, I am trying to think of a way to build on the colonial look by creating the look of expensive fitted conservatory roof blinds at minimal cost, to hide the corrugated plastic glazing. I like the look of pinoleum and I am wondering how I might go about achieving this without it looking shit. I would also like to incorporate a few colonial-style accessories but again without much budget I'm looking for creative ideas, although I do have three small pieces of nice driftwood I might use as ornaments. If you have any thoughts please wade in.
