Hi all we are getting our bathroom done soon and think have gone into overkill with the amount of brochures we have and how many bathroom showrooms we have visited....
We thought we had chosen what we wanted but had chosen R2 toilet and furniture/basin because they were reasonably priced and looked nice but now reading reviews I don't think these sound very good. We have chosen an Aqualisa shower but a couple of people have said Mira showers are better....
What bathroom brands would you recommend please? We don't want to buy really cheap stuff but do want good quality (can't afford V&B though.)

Hi
As a bathroom designer I advise my clients to purchase good quality taps as tese are used the most and quite costly to replace. In terms of brands Hansgrohe,Axor Stark and Arteform are reputable. As V&B is not an option, Laufen or Adattocasa is good for quality furniture. Specifying mid-end products you're probably looking at the £5K-ish mark to complete your bathroom..
Good luck!
Joanne

Just completed our dream bathroom! We purchased all our fittings from Victoria Plumb's traditional range and are delighted. My OH is aheating and plumbing engineer and says the quality is some of the best he's seen, as good as Heritage. I love it!

Thanks Joanne I've heard it's good to spend more on the taps and will look at those brands (I hadn't heard of them before.)

I bought Ideal Standard stuff for my bathroom & everything has broken. I'm not sure if it's considered a good brand or not but the set including taps was about £4500. Everything works but bits have fallen off everything so it's not quite right. In our other bathroom we bought cheap unbranded stuff from Amazon & eBay & despite being used more is great. I suppose that's your luck though.

Our plumbers also recommended Victoria Plumb but I think the company was quite new at the time & didn't have the range they do now.

Can't beat Aqua Lisa Showers - have had them at 2 houses now - in bathroom and en suites. (Previously had Mira at property before then).

That's great to hear Aqua Lisa showers are good. We're going to get the visage one as not too expensive but still seems a decent one. Which would you recommend?

We've chosen Saneux for the vanity unit and toilet - at last! We just need to choose a bathroom cabinet now.
