Where to find large bright canvasses?

Have been looking for one for our kitchen diner, which is predominantly grey/white so really need something to brighten it up.

Looked in all the usual places (next, john lewis, made, debenhams) and they are all either really dull or feature animals!

Hi Macarena, I had similar trouble when sorting my lounge out last year. HomeSense had some nice pieces but nothing that quite worked for me. In the end I bought a canvas and some acrylic paint in HobbyCraft and did my own! It's a bit shabby but it's definitely an original maybe Google for yellow canvas pic / blue canvas pic etc and see if you get inspired or find something online?

I don't know, but I plan to cover some blank canvases in pretty fabric... Could that work?

Try some real art rather than the mass produced tat people buy to 'coordinate' with their décor?

Have a look on Artfinder or look for local artists on Facebook.

Triptrap - have already looked into 'real art'. Nothing suitable less than about £2k which is sadly far more than I have to spend.

I did what others have done. Bought canvas from The Range and splurged on some acrylic paints in the colours I liked.

Watched a few YouTube videos and then copied the styles I liked. I have 3 original art works in my house and I think they didn't cost more than £20 for all 3.

They are abstract pieces, I wasn't doing a portrait of anyone. The best advice I can give is layers, keep coming back to the painting and add more. It gives depth to the painting.

You can also look at rented art websites - they're usually aimed at companies - but they also sell them. Lots of different sites. I can see this in a grey/white kitchen
