Coat/Shoe Hall Storage

I am looking for a coat and shoe hall storage that will accommodate the detritus of a family of six. I am fed up of shoes piled up by the door. Looking for something fairly lean and modern.

Any ideas?

We have an Ikea shoe rack and a separate coat rack above it. Not sure it would accommodate six people's stuff, but then I'm not sure anything would. You have to be ruthless about rotating between summer and winter coats/shoes and putting the others away upstairs IMO.

We also have an IKEA shoe thingie (white, about 15cm deep) with 4 compartments - each compartment holds 3 or 4 pairs of shoes depending on size. We are a family of 5 and whilst its not eradicated the pile of crap shoes at the bottom of the stairs, we're getting there. Perfect size for us as we have quite a narrow hallway.

For coats, we have a row of labelled double hooks (stuck a little wooden letter about each one) at a height the children can reach and the novelty of putting their coats on "their" peg seems to be working. Adult hooks a bit higher / further along the wall.

We tried shoe racks etc but they always ended up messy! Now we have a big wicker style chest by the door which means people can just throw shoes in and any visitors can let see them :) then we put a few hooks on the wall for coat...

We are a family of 6. We used to have the unit namechangedtoday linked to, but it couldn't cope with DH's size 12's or DC shoving too many pairs in and broke. So now we have this £9 tv bench the hall is very narrow so it was hard to find something to fit. For coats we have hooks near the front door in the porch area.
I am super strict at only allowing one coat and one pair of shoes in the hall so there is no build up, on a Friday school shoes get cleaned, polished and put upstairs. All the other coats and shoes are kept in wardrobes.

We have a coat rack on the wall above the radiator in the hall. We don't have anything to put shoes on as we don't leave shoes in our hall.
