Major carpet decision

I need to carpet all of upstairs in my newly refurnished house - four bedrooms, stairs and a long landing. Stairway is very dark (halls adjoining) and whole house is currently painted white but we'll repaint next year. Was thinking of using this throughout (in "Muesli" or "Cottonwood") but is it too pale for the stairs? It's driving me mad.

Will your stairs get a lot of wear whats your policy on shoes tbh I think its to light for stairs what about a coffee colour . Ive just bought a slate grey for my stairs and landing

Shoes mostly off upstairs though we're not especially strict about it. It's textured with a fleck so reasonably forgiving but I wonder whether to go for one of the darker colours for the stairs. I'd really like something jazzier but landing is so long (13 metres by 2 metres) I can't afford it.

That colour is nice though it would look lovely in a long hall maybe a shade or 2 darker the timber in the john lewis chart is nice

Yes Timber/Koala is quite nice and warm and looks a bit like jute so very neutral.

My initial thoughts were that the paler colours are very cool and something slightly darker would be a. more forgiving with traffic and b. give a warmer, more homely feel.
