Completely revamping my sons bedroom, its home to a 3 year old and 11 year old so needs to suit both. Only thing I have upto now is laminate flooring and a set of white bunk beds.

I need inspiration. Thinking maybe slightly piratey but then I can't find anything to suit. Am at a total loss!

I have blue and white painted hoizontal stripes in ds's nursery and can imagine it growing with him. It really feels like a Cornish/nautical theme and may suit your pirate theme.

Maybe check pinterest for some inspiration?

Space? Graffiti? Treehouse?

Pinterest is the place for inspiration. here's a link to some pirate themed bedrooms. Love the rope shelves.

you need to get onto pinterest! marvel heroes? super heroes? blues / greens, map wall? brick wallpaper and skateboard shelves?

Robots/futuristic? Sports teams? Maps/travel? Just google "boys bedroom ideas", some examples there, agree with Pinterest too

If the 11 year old is going to have the top bunk, could you build him a "climbing wall" to get up there?

you need pink and lots of glitter. you wouldn't want to be accused of gender stereotyping!

If I was dealing with a 4yo & a 11yo I'd go less of a theme and more of a colour scheme unless you are happy to redecorate again quickly.
DS has a white room with blocks of red and various shades of blue on the wall, within the blocks I have framed pictures / notice boards etc that can be replaced easily as he grows out of them... Currently they have lego Star Wars, Tintin and boats & planes.

Zing my 7 year old son has a pink and purple bedroom! He loves all things pink and sparkly so no gender stereotyping in this house!

Thanks for the ideas, didn't think of pinterest at all, will check it out!
