Best family resort Turkey

Planning a holiday to Turkey next year. The first in 3 years and I have a decent budget. I'll have a 13 year old that basically won't want to spend time with me and an 11 year old who likes people but also wants waterslides. For me, I want it near the beach and close enough to sightseeing trips. Can anyone recommend resorts. I know it's early but I don't care anymore.

Ela Quality Resort has nice duplex 2 bedroom family rooms and a decent pool complex with slides. It’s not far from the Roman ruins at Perge and the Land of Legends theme park.
Also look at the Vogue Hotel Bodrum. The aqua park is amazing.

We had an amazing time at Voyage Belek- on the beach, great food and plenty of water slides and organised entertainment for teens. Would love to go back one day, have fun planning your trip Smile

About to try the Titanic Lara in Antalya. I’ll post back with any reports. Booked a bit last minute, so it really is a total punt, but hopefully will all turn out OK

We're booked for Xanadu Belek next summer, carried over from last year.
It'll be my first time but DHs family go regularly and rave about it.
I'm not usually an AI person but I've been assured this is levels above the usual

We were just at the Ela. Everything was very good apart from a handful of restaurant staff who seemed openly hostile to the guests. There are tons of staff who were fine so not a huge deal, but it was odd.

Oh! And they were selling pool inflatables at the hotel for EUR50+ - I expect you can buy in the town nearby.

Take Euros rather than lira.

The food was excellent and the baklava counter was from a baklava obsessed loon's dreams!

Land of legends in Antalya is fab for the children. I've also stayed in the Granada in Belek which is stunning and has a water park. Titanic is probably next on our list.

We have just got back from
The Maxx Royal Belek - absolutely fantastic 5* AI - fab food, facilities , beach , water park, games arcade, laser tag, paintballing and didn't see our eldest 16 year the majority of the time as he was doing his own things with other teenagers from around the world. It's the only hotel we keep visiting as it is so hard to beat.

Just got back. AI not usually my sort of thing, but it was a nice relaxing week. A few general observations…

Resort (Titanic, Lara) was OK but could have been much better. Small things let it down, such as key cards that kept stopping working and our door being insecure one morning because the batteries (I kid you not) in the lock mechanism had run out! Resort staff didn’t have great English on the whole, but luckily DH has fairly good German which they were all more proficient in. Also, entertainment was very geared up to the (large number of noisy) Russians staying. Family suites were a good size, but got very noisy at night until 11.30 when the entertainments stopped.

Turkey generally seemed a bit too relaxed about covid safety. Forms not checked on arrival in the airport and most people had masks but tended to have them on their chins. In the resort here was little mask compliance in indoor areas.

I’d either forgotten how awful people are on flights or they have got worse in the last 2 years. Flight (BA) back last night was horrific, with children barely under control in the aisles, one woman (old enough to know better, and with own out of control children) sat and watched an unsuitable film on her mobile without any headphones and ignored people asking her to put headphones on. One large group of 20s couples walked around the aisle chatting to other members of their group noisily and with no masks. BA cabin crew did f* all and were lazy and useless as usual.

But apart from that it was fine. Probably wouldn’t go back though.

PIne Bay Kusadasi. The only place we've ever been to twice.
Close to Adaland and Aqua Fantasy.

Your holiday description sounds great and Turkey sounds like a good holiday location. Can I ask on top of your requirements are any of the suggestions made a short transfer from the airport?

I know some places are quite far and that is a big negative for us.
