I'm organising to do an OU degree

For months the choice has been between business & childcare

But looking through the information on-line I am seriously considering doing an environmental/systems course

I have previously worked in systems analysis (at a very low level) and with all the work I did on 'greening/ecoing' the nursery I obviously have a healthy interest in these issues

So is it really odd to change?
Will I get a job with a degree in it?
I am being a pratt aren't I?

There was a bloke on my MSc Environmental course that was a Psychology teacher.

I love the green eco stuff but it's hard trying to find a job because everyone else loves it too. It depends what you do your degree in though. Noise is very popular at the moment, there's loads of jobs in this.

Go for it. Look into it first though.

Are you going for a named degree or more of a pick and mix?

Pick & Mix

I am getting (already have?) about 100 points at level 1 from study 20 yrs ago - so I need 120 at level 2 & 120 at level 3 to get an open degree

level 2
2nd level 2 (not sure about this one)
level 3
2nd level 3

What do you think? Is it balanced?

I think it looks balanced. But if you are planning on using it career-wise you might be better off going for a named degree (Technology?) although it would probably mean doing more courses.

Are open degrees no good then?

I did wonder
