Quick question re student maintenance loans?

I’ve just started doing a full time teaching degree as a mature student.
I’ve applied for a student fees loan which has been accepted and is in the process of being sorted out.
My question is, can I also apply for a student maintenance loan seperately (through Gov.uk) even though I’ve already submitted the fees loan?
And, if I’m eligible, is the maintenance loan repaid in the same way, ie only when I’m working and earning over a certain amount? Or does it have to be paid back with interest in a lump sum after I graduate?
Thanks for any advice, I’m finding it all a bit confusing!

Yes youncan apply

Yes it becomes part of the same student debt so only 9% of earnings over £25k will be taken in total as repayment.
