applying for student finance - what if DS doesn't get into his firm choice?

DS has done the finance application - all very straightforward as he was just applying for minimum maintenance loan.

But he had to state his firm choice on the application - what happens if he ends up somewhere different? Is it easy to get it reallocated?

Thanks.

Yes, completely straightforward to get it reallocated. It's a routine thing, after all, something like 25% of candidates end up at their insurance choice or in clearing.

Yes. He just needs to get his application in now before the rush. The details of the university he will go to can be amended later once he finds out.

Thanks - I'd assumed that was the case but it doesn't seem to say so on the website.
