I'm partway through my undergraduate degree and have decided I want to train as a primary school teacher when I graduate. I now have hundreds of questions buzzing in my head, so I'd really appreciate any knowledge/advice anyone could offer.
The main thing I'm worried about is funding... I think I've gathered I'll only get a bursary (£3,000) for primary teaching if I graduate with a first. Fine.
I'm confused by tuition fees/loan situation, however. I've read that PGCEs are treated as undergraduate degrees WRT student finance, so I'll still be eligible for tuition fee loans/maintenance loan? Is this info correct, and up to date?
Sorry if I sound horribly ignorant about all of this. I'm just trying to work out whether my plans are financially viable, before I start seriously planning and looking forward to it all...
If all goes to plan, I will hopefully be starting the PCGE in Sept 2018, by the way.
TIA
