Long story but DD suffered from significant mental ill health last year, and whilst improved is not fully well, and is also dealing with lots of other issues. Despite this she did ok at her A levels and got a place at an RG uni, due to start next week. Yesterday she admitted that she was feeling really anxious about going but can't bear the stress of going through the application process again, so will go anyway. My question is, would a uni consider at this late stage deferring the place for a year, on medical grounds (I am sure the GP would provide evidence)? I realise that the his is a nuisance, and we will have to take the hit on accommodation deposit etc. I don't want to push the matter further unless there is a real chance of this.
Many thanks.
