Anyone done a 4 year degree FT with kids in school?

I am considering a fairly drastic career change. It will involve completely re-training via a 4 year degree course. I will have a 4 year old and 7 year old at school. I will also have a junior nanny living in. She does the before and after school times and extra hours in the holiday. Has anyone done this? I am wondering if the study is possible with kids.
Thank you!

if you can afford it then go for it. the hours will be very much like a working day but don't discount a couple of things.

if you have been out of education for a while then it will take time to get back into it and may need a lot of reading, re learning old skills.

you will need to be able to work when away from college so need a proper set up at home where you can do this, not just the kitchen table.

you need to make sure that you have some what if provisions in place. so if the nanny goes sick or you are needed at home how will you manage.

are you a single parent? it is easier if there are 2 of you because you will still be working during the holidays.

I know a couple of families that have done it but it is a whole family commitment thing not just the person doing the course but everyone else understanding this and supporting it.
