I just googled the name of the tutor/supervisor I have been assigned for my MBA dissertation

And I am scared.

I am the only one in my group that has been allocated this person, and his name is totally obscure, and not among the tutors we have worked with over the last couple of years.

His work is equally obscure, and mostly relates to ambiguity and cultural complexity in managing change. He only supervises one person, me, and is from a remote campus.

I think they have probably matched me up based on my proposal, which I assume is very different from what my fellow students have proposed, and I am feeling nervous.

I feel that I will be so massively intellectually challenged, and I worry that I am not going to be able to go through with it.

I don't think you can tell anything about what a person will be like as a supervisor simply by googling them. Talk to him.

It will be based entirely on your proposal matching his interests better than any of the other faculty. Don't be scared; googling someone doesn't tell you how famous or not they are. He could be dead famous in his field, just not interested in putting stuff on the internet!
