Hi

I need some advice!!

I work as a admin clerk at a hospital part time
And now i want to do a Nvq course in health and social care, my work place have said that i can do a two day placement with them as a health care assistant due to the course.

Can I do the Nvq course in health and social care with me working as a clerk.
It won't have anything to do with my admin job.

Please would someone let me know if this is possible.

Regards
Sam

Well if you have a placement as a HCA then you would use that to gather your evidence.

I don't really understand what you're asking.

You need to do the healthcare assistant job to be able to do the NVQ, you can't just do the clerk as it has nothing to do with Health and Social care, despite the setting.

You would need the evidence from your practical HCA placement as part of the written assessments to support what you are learning in college . The rest of the time could be clerical though, assuming you can fit it all in.

Hi, I need some help and guidance please. I have just signed up for a Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England Level 3. I have been working in the community for about 18 months and really enjoy it. (was in banking previously for 20 years). I need some help with the NVQ questions, could anyone advise on websites/books etc. Its been a long time since I've been in education and I'm struggling. Many thanks.
