Hi. My dh is in the army and I'm looking to train in something that I could move around with him. We have 3 dc so want something that also fits around them. I'm iterested in training in Reflexology, Aromatherapy and Massage but what courses are the best to do if I want to go on and work in these areas and not just out of interest?

My suggestion would be to do a general beauty course, as well as a proper massage course. MTI (massage training institute) is very good.

That way, you can offer nails, facials, pedis etc; but also when you do do some massage (as part of the facial / mani / pedi), then your technique is really good, which helps build return trade. And you don't get tired out from just doing massage.

Yes, beauty therapy courses do cover massage, but they don't go into any detail about it, so you end up being what massage therapists call a "skin polisher", as there isn't the depth of knowledge or understanding about muscles and soft tissue that comes from a proper massage course. I can't stand going for a massage (back when I had the money to do so) and ending up with an hour of strokey strokey massage.

Other than that, doing a massage course is great cos you get loads of massages Grin
