Highchairs and baby seats

Suggestions if I don't like the antilop

2 yo DS is In a mamas and papas high chair. It's a bit broken so I will buy a table and chair when I find one.

6mo DD is in the antilop and I HATE it. She tries to climb out and could if I didn't stop her. Plus DS sometimes nearly tips it over when he's trying steal her food (obvs I'm working on this behaviour wise too).

So I need a high chair that is
Sturdy and difficult to tip
Difficult to escape
Has a small foot print. We have a very small flat (no table)

I'm open to the trip trap but the footprint looks very big and with no table atm I feel like it won't really get much use when She s 2 ish and sitting at the kids table. I'm not really especially interested in it so seems like a lot of ££ for not that useful a long time.

Best one ever is Brother Max Scoop - we had it in a flat. It's not particularly small though but it didn't matter to me because it's so gorgeous to look at too!

I had to have one the baby couldn't get out of as I had 2 in highchairs at the same time. Actually had one of these and an Antilop - so either end of the spectrum.

Cost a lot but we sold it second hand for a lot so all in all, didn't owe me a penny.

Do you have normal dining chairs? If so then I’d get one of the folding ones that attach to a dining chair.

The trip trap doesn't have that big a footprint but it doesn't fold up which is likely a problem in a small flat. You can get similar in other much cheaper brands.
If you have solid adult chairs I'd suggest the chicco, but I guess not without a table.

Have you considered the type that turn into table and chair?

agoodday I was actually thinking about that just now. Something like this
www.amazon.co.uk/East-Coast-Combination-Highchair-Wood/dp/B002LAQZV0?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21

For the toddler .

We have no dining chair or anything along those lines. I actually don't really fold up the folding one I have now so that's not a major factor

This might be totally unworkable but - combination table, baby in the chair (with tray) on floor, toddler in another child size chair at the table. I find I spend half my time on the floor anyway these days, and it could help with the toddler if the baby is being treated the 'same', and food can't be flung as far.

Actually, I'm beginning to realise I just hate highchairs, I might not be much help.
