I'm thinking of going back to work and retraining as a mortgage broker, the reason being is it seems fairly flexible ie you can take on as much or as little work as you want so can fit in around kids school hols etc.
Also the pay seems to be quite good, an average of £2000 per mortage completed, which I don't really know if that is a realistic figure.
I had a chat with a local mortgage broker who did our remortgage for us recently and she's the one who gave me the above info, but then it turns out it's her own business so I don't know how it would be if I worked for her, although i would be self employed.
I'll need to study for some exams but I have a year in which to do that which I might be able to manage.
Would appreciate any advice/information from anyone who already is a mortgage broker.
Thanks
