I would like to be

  • outdoors
  • active
  • local
  • part time

My background is finance and sales.
I have more recent experience of PA and admin roles and TA work.

I love the outdoors, I struggle being inside all day.
I love animals, children, the elderly.
I'm physically fit and able.
I'm intelligent and mentally alert.

Can you think of the job for me?
TIA

Forest school leader
Landscape gardener
National Trust steward
Tour guide
Green Gym instructor
Management / operations in small stables / farm park
Play coordinator
Gardening therapy leader / community gardener
Lunchtime supervisor at a school

You might need to do volunteer work to get the job experience you want

I’m sure I could think of some others. Try looking at jobs boards for national trust, the Grow career changers website, environment job that sort of thing?

Wow. thank you oatmilk.

Sadly, my gardening skills and experience are zilch although I think it's something that I could grow to love (excuse the pun please).

I'm working my way through the rest of the list now.

Thank you for the extra replies.
The post person and kennel worker I have already explored but unfortunately nothing is available in my area.
I do plan this weekend to go to a local area of garden centres and see what might be available but at the moment the Green gym idea is at the top of my list. I am going to be speaking to the organiser of a local (well, local-ish) one later today.
Thanks again everybody and please do keep the ideas coming.

National Trust is a good suggestion. A lot of their membership recruiters are PT and stationed outside.

Sadly there aren’t any National Trust places near me.
I’d love to move to a more rural location but DH and the DCs wouldn’t Confused
