Maternity leave

In September i started a part time job at a big supermarket. Their maternity policy says if you're there a year you are entitled to their enhanced maternity package. I've got no immediate plans for our second child however I was wondering, say I got pregnant and my due date was October next year, would I still get the enhanced package? Or do u need to be there a year before you first notify them of your pregnancy?

It should say in the policy whether they count the date you start mat leave or a certain point in the pregnancy when calculating what you're entitled to
