You will be fine. I work 2.5 days (actually 3 days in terms of hours). DD goes to nursery twice a week and DH looks after her for the half day. I returned to work last August when DD was about the same age as your DS. I was full of worries about how she would cope without me (fine - babies can be very fickle ), how I would cope without her and what effect it wold have on us. The first week was great as I was so pleased to see people and feel part of the workforce again, the second week was tougher as I realised this was not just a one-off! After that its all been fine. DD loves nursery and I can see she has really gained from it. I have gained as well bu keeping my foot in the door as far a work goes (although I must admit I am not a big career girl but you never know I may become one later), my own money (yipeeeeee) and some adult conversation. I will stp going on now. Enjoy it.

Quite alright. I remember posting a similar message before I went back to work. I was getting DD ready for nursery this morning. I told her where she was going and she junped up and said "yeahhhhh and did a little dance. Says it all really.

thats so good that you know she loves going. Like you said earlier you think your the only person who knows how to look after them properly!! the reality is he probably won't even notice i'm gone!!! I also think that it will make me appeciate the time that I do spend with him so that can only be a good thing

Hi prwansmum I went back p-t on Monday and its been fine and so far I've really enjoyed being at work. The lovely smile you'll get when you pick her up will melt your heart. To be honest though we're only togther for a few hours a day I think the time we spend with DS is better 'quality' time and we make a real effort to have lots of cuddles/stories and play. I had a major wobble a few weeks before going back but now I'm there its, so far, has been great.

I too am having a serious wobble! My ds will be 1yr when I start at the end of the month and I am getting really worried about how he is going to cope at nursery and also how they are going to cope with him and all his "special little ways"!
