Did anyone here take up the offer of Keeping In Touch Days before returning to work? Were they useful? Did it affect your decision to return to work?

Two lots of maternity leave and I didn't do any keep in touch days. Going back soon after latest ML. I didn't feel I missed out last time and doubt I'll have missed out this time, I'll just pick things up on my return. That said I have had a couple of informal chats with a close colleague which I have found very reassuring and I would recommend doing something like that- just to get lay of land and to know some basics re changes in work and personnel before return. I also have a phone chat booked with line manager before I return. To be honest it would have been a visit but she is leaving just before I return (not connected!).

I did them and would definitely recommend. Bit of extra cash too.

I havnt done them as I thought my manager would take advantage and use me to do shifts whilst she's on holiday I'm still having issues with her with sorting out my back to work schedule which has me stressed out couldn't be bothered with that too. As someone else said they are good for the money though as one of my friends is going to do them next month and would let you see how you're going to feel going back. You can always opt to do one to try then if you feel like it do more then you don't feel obligated to do all the ones you have said you would
