Am filling in an application form and it asks for my national insurance number. I remember it clearly and it ends in D, but I did see a document when I was going through papers a while back and it had my ni number on it, but it ended in A. Is that because I am now married???

I always thought mine ended in D but it is B
or the other way round!

no - your national insurance number which is issued at about 16 or 17 stays the same forever.

there is also an NHS number but I'm not sure if there are letters in it.

Mine ends in B which apparently means I would be called up in the event of war?
