Hi All,

Any ideas advice would be very much appreciated as I have racked my brains trying to figure out where to go from here! So as to get as good advice as possible ill explain my career progression thus far!!

So graduated with a sport science / education degree. Initial plan was to do a PGCE in PE and become a secondary school PE teacher. Did a PGCE in PE but hated my placements and basically felt like a round peg in a square hole within a schooling environment.

From here I knew I wanted to remain in Education so began to apply for job with Local Authority within the Education department. Landed my first job working within the early years team responsible for increasing the number of childcare practitioners in the borough I worked and raising profile of thus as a career option. Paid 27K.

After 2 years I was promoted to Training Strategy Manager within same team where my job took a much more strategic role where I was responsible for writing department plans, cabinet reports etc. I also managed various projects eg. Audits, conference events etc. Paid 35k. Did this job for 4 years until Sept 2009 when I applied for a 3 year career break folliwing the birth of my 2 child. This career break was approved. I basically wanted to be a SAHM until my youngest child started school.

3 years on and on the brink of returning, my job has been made redundant (along with many many others).

To be honest I would like a career change, any ideas? Happy to re-train but feel I need to be in a project based role or administrative management but just lacking in career ideas!!

Please help! Many thanks
